Bebber, Wilkerson were hot

It didn’t take long for the Texas tornadoes to put their limit in the boat.

“We had that (limit) by 10 a.m. and spent the day looking,” Bebber said. “The conditions weren’t too good for finding them, but we found a few. We were just picking up a few here and there.”

The pair said they had several other good fish on target but didn’t go for the motherlode Thursday.

“We’re trying to manage them a little bit,” Wilkerson said. “There’s no giants but there are some decent ones.”

You’re doing the same thing, except with the FLW Tour. How excited are you for the season?

Charles Bebber: I’d say my excitement level is at an all-time high. I’ve wanted to compete on the FLW

Tour or BASS Elite Series for a long time. I’m also anxious, in a good way. I’m ready to get started.

Bebber and Caka win BLT State Team Championship on Sam Rayburn with nearly a 20 lb margin!

The Bud Light Fall State Team Championship was held on Lake Sam Rayburn on November 12 and 13 at the Umphrey Family Pavilion. The tournament invited the top 50 percent from all other regional team tournaments to participate; however only 58 teams showed up to fish. The reason for the poor turn out could probably be blamed on the low lake levels and the handful of open boat ramps that are left.

Charles Bebber and Keith Caka cast their first lines on Saturday morning at 6:20 am and by 7:30 am had returned to the BLT weigh station at Umphrey Pavilion with a huge sack of fish. The guys only fished 25 minutes and caught a stringer weighing a total of 37.27 lbs with a 10.01 lbs big fish!
